These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Receiptful website, console, API, and Android app (together, the "Service"), operated by Duala Digital Inc. ("Receiptful", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
1. The Service
Receiptful is a receipt-printing API. You send print jobs (HTML or raw ESC/POS) to our API; we render and deliver them to a paired Android device, which prints them on a connected thermal printer. Delivery of a job to a physical printer depends on the device being online and reachable, and jobs expire if they are not picked up within their lifetime.
2. Accounts and API keys
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your API keys confidential. Treat keys like passwords: do not embed them in public code or share them. You must notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
3. Your content and responsibilities
"Customer Content" means the receipt content and any data you submit through the Service. You retain all rights to your Customer Content.
You are solely responsible for your Customer Content and for ensuring you have all necessary rights and consents to process it, including any personal data of your end users that appears on a receipt. As between you and Receiptful, you are the data controller for Customer Content and we are your processor, as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree not to use the Service to process content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you are not authorized to send.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in violation of any law or third-party rights;
- send malicious, fraudulent, harassing, or otherwise unlawful content;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- exceed or circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or security controls; or
- resell or provide the Service to third parties except as permitted by your plan.
We may suspend or limit access to protect the Service or other users, or for a violation of these Terms.
5. Plans, fees, and billing
The Service offers a free tier of 20 receipts per month with no card required. Paid usage is billed at 0.005 per receipt over 1,000 per printer, metered and charged through Stripe. Fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable notice; changes apply to future billing periods.
6. Availability and "as is"
We work to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and physical printing depends on factors outside our control (device connectivity, paper, hardware, and the like). The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own all rights in the Service, including its software, APIs, and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Receiptful will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Receiptful and Duala Digital Inc. from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your Customer Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Term and termination
These Terms apply while you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
